Power window motors
The power window motor drives the regulator that raises and lowers the glass. This category lists BOXI window motors sold by Tetron Auto Parts. Before buying one, confirm the motor is the problem. If the door is completely silent, check the fuse, the switch and the wiring first. If the motor hums or clicks but the glass does not move, the regulator cable or track is often the cause. If the glass moves slowly, stops partway or only works some of the time, the motor is a stronger suspect. Match year, make, model, door position and connector, and verify fitment on each listing. Full symptom checks are in our guide window won’t go up: DIY regulator fix.
FAQ
Is it the window motor or the regulator?
A hum or click with no glass movement usually points to the regulator. No sound at all points to the fuse, switch, wiring or the motor itself. If the motor is weak and the regulator is worn too, a window regulator and motor assembly replaces both in one job.
How do I check the window switch first?
Try the window from the master switch on the driver door and from the switch on that door. If one switch works and the other does not, the switch is the likely fault. Also check the power window fuse and whether the other windows work. Replacement power window switches are listed separately.
Can I replace just the motor?
On many vehicles the motor bolts to the regulator and can be swapped alone if the regulator is in good shape. Some vehicles only use a combined assembly. Check the listing and verify fitment by door position before ordering.
